Third Time Lucky! ⬆intro next ➡Christmas Eve - Heathrow As is our tradition, we start with dinner at the Seafood Bar. Terminal 5 is so big it has its own train line to the further gates! We get the call we've been half expecting, half dreading, and in a way half hoping for: Beryl has peacefully slipped away. Black humour time: we're in Departures but Beryl has already departed. On board, the cabin crew notice that Amanda isn't quite 100% and on being told why, decide a little extra wine won't hurt. The flight itself is uneventful, and as it's overnight, we get a bit of sleep. Chile is only three hours behind us, which had surprised us slightly as it's so much longer to fly there than to the US, but it means we shouldn't have much jet lag. ⬆intro next ➡ |
